About BrainSpark

A curiosity-first learning experience for children ages 6-16 in the United States and India

Our purpose

BrainSpark helps children explore ideas through fresh, age-banded questions while keeping the experience simple, privacy-conscious, and transparent about the limits of AI-generated educational content.

What BrainSpark is

BrainSpark is an AI-assisted educational question experience operated by QuintelX LLC. Learners explore topics through three age bands — Explorer, Adventurer, and Scholar — with learning regions for the United States and India. BrainSpark is designed to support curiosity, practice, and independent learning; it is not a high-stakes assessment or credentialing service.

How it works

  • A learner or parent selects an age band, learning region, topic, subtopic, and difficulty.
  • AI generates a question, answer choices, an explanation, and, when applicable, a fun fact using the selected context.
  • The question is shown to the learner immediately.
  • Generated questions and related quality metadata are stored without a named learner profile so BrainSpark can reduce repetition, review quality, and improve the question bank.
  • BrainSpark uses different quality-control approaches depending on the topic. Most non-grounded questions receive automated post-generation review, while selected source-grounded Indian history topics use curated reference material during generation.
  • Users can report a problem with a question using fixed-choice report options.

Three trust principles

Privacy-conscious by design

BrainSpark does not require a learner account or login. The current experience does not maintain a persistent server-side learner profile or identity-linked progress record. Some preferences and learning-progress counters are stored locally in the browser. Like most web services, BrainSpark also relies on limited network, security, regional, analytics, and service-provider processing to operate the website.

Grounded learning where available

For selected Indian history topics — including the Maurya, Gupta, Chola, Vijayanagara, and Maratha periods — BrainSpark uses curated source material developed with reference to relevant official NCERT textbook chapters. Not all BrainSpark content is curriculum-grounded or NCERT-based, and BrainSpark is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCERT.

Continuous quality review

Automated post-generation checks and user reports help BrainSpark identify issues and improve the question bank over time. These quality controls reduce risk but do not guarantee that every AI-generated question is error-free or independently reviewed before it is displayed.

For families in the United States and India

BrainSpark provides one learning experience with region-specific content for the United States and India. Parents and caregivers remain important partners in choosing settings, supervising younger learners, and helping children verify important information.

What BrainSpark is not

  • It is not a substitute for school, teachers, parents, textbooks, or professional advice.
  • It does not promise that every question is correct, curriculum-aligned, or reviewed before display.
  • It is not a social network or an advertising-profile platform.
  • The current experience does not include learner accounts, cloud-based learner profiles, identity-linked saved progress, messaging, public rankings, or social features.
